A graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in Tax and Estate Planning, Justin joined Batoff Associates in 2010 as an associate in the corporate/business transactions and employee benefits (ERISA) practice. He provides general counsel on a wide range of matters relating to real estate transactions, retirement and health benefits, executive compensation, regulatory compliance, mergers & acquisitions, tax and estate planning, employment law, and corporate governance.

As a principal at Batoff Associates, Justin serves a broad spectrum of the business community, ranging from budding startups to international corporations, as well as tax-exempt entities, family-owned businesses, franchisees, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs in the full-range of business issues. In cases where there are potential conflicts of interest, many area law firms have recommended Batoff Associates to represent their clients or their clients’ executives.

In addition to the practice of law, Justin leads the Tax & Succession Planning division of Batoff Family Office Advisory LLC, an affiliate of the law firm, advising clients and their multi-generational families on asset protection and wealth preservation.

A lifelong Baltimore resident, Justin was a career student and varsity athlete at the Gilman School. He attended Johns Hopkins University where he studied Art History as well as Entrepreneurship & Management. While at Johns Hopkins he was elected Vice-President of St. Elmo Hall and selected as a walk-on varsity swimmer in his freshman year.

In concert with his brother, Justin is the co-founder of the Old Line Society. The OLS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization encouraging social engagement and fundraising efforts among young professionals in the Baltimore area. Justin also serves as an adviser, or in the capacity of a trustee, for a number of civic organizations. Away from the office he can usually be found in the field...farming, fox-hunting or on area steeplechase courses pursuing his career as an Amateur Rider.

In November 2023, Justin was recognized as a 40 Under 40 Honoree by the Baltimore Business Journal.
